PETER MATTHEWS
Senior Clinical Director
BVMS, MRCVSPete qualified from the Royal Dick in 2007 and joined Galedin as a new graduate. In 2010 he took some time out to travel and work in Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand and Fiji before returning to the practice in 2011, becoming senior clinical director in 2021. He enjoys being in the great outdoors whether walking, climbing or cycling, and is a member of Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team.

SEAN DICKSON
Practice Manager
BA, MInstLMSean joined the team in 2019, after previously holding management positions with the Housing Association and the Royal Navy, including spells out on the high seas! He has a degree in business and enterprise, and is a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management. In his spare time, he enjoys running, walking and spending time with family.

COLIN LYONS
Senior Veterinary Surgeon
BVM&S MRCVSColin qualified from Edinburgh Vet School in 1986, and joined Galedin, then known as Rogerson and Partners, in 2000. He has a special interest in companion animal surgery in general and orthopaedics in particular. In his spare time he enjoys walking, mountain-biking and travelling.

KIRSTY D’AGROSA
Senior Veterinary Surgeon
BVM&S MRCVSKirsty qualified from Edinburgh University in 2010. She loves working with small animals and is passionate about making preventative healthcare easy to access, helping to launch a new home visiting service called Galedin-on-the-Go! Outside of work, she is a keen cyclist and slow runner, having completed several marathons.

CALLUM MCROBERTS
Veterinary Surgeon
BVM&S, MRCVSCallum, originally from Northern Ireland, graduated from The Dick Vet in Edinburgh in 2021 and moved to the Scottish Borders to start his career! Outside of work, you’ll find him cycling his way around the Borders, climbing hills or taking photos of our local wildlife. He has recently started playing squash, and has joined a local club in Galashiels.

COLIN MCGILLIVRAY
Veterinary Surgeon (farm)
BVM&S, MRCVSAfter qualifying at Glasgow in 1992, Colin worked in mixed practice in the north of England and Scottish Borders. He also travelled extensively, including several months working as a vet in New Zealand. He joined the team in 2002 and has been with us ever since! He can usually be identified by a limp, typically from a running, hillwalking or skiing injury!

ROSEMARIE HUNDAL
Veterinary Surgeon
BVM&S, MRCVSRosemarie joined the team in 2020, as one of our small animal vets. When she’s not at work she loves to be out rock-climbing and hill walking with her own bouncy dog, with her very patient cat to curl up with afterwards at home!

HELEN NORQUAY
Senior Veterinary Surgeon
BVMS, MRCVSHelen graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2014. Since then she has worked in small animal practice in Ireland, Scotland and Orkney and is interested in all aspects of small animal practice. Outside of work she enjoys running with her spaniel Nina and cooking.

VICTORIA BANEY
Veterinary Surgeon
BVM&S, MRCVSVictoria graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2021, and returned to Scotland after a year of working at a small animal and exotics practice in England. She has a particular interest in small mammals, reptiles and birds alongside cats and dogs! Victoria is kept busy at home with her two rabbits.

SARAH MCFARLAND
Veterinary Surgeon
BVMS, MRCVSSarah graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2014 and started work in mixed practice in Northern Ireland. After a year she decided that working with small animals was her passion, and joined our team in 2020 with plenty of experience under her belt. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking her Dachshund Hugo, and exploring the beautiful Scottish Borders.

CAROL SMITH
Senior RVN
Bsc RVNCarol qualified from Edinburgh Napier University in 2013 with a degree in veterinary nursing. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing but has particular interest in inpatient care and medical cases. In her spare time she is a keen baker and loves walking her border collies Kim and Floss.

DANNI JOHNSTON
RVN
RVNDanni joined the team in 2017 while still a student, and qualified as an RVN in 2019. She then moved to E-Vets in 2022. Outside work she enjoys getting out and walking with her four dogs, and spending time with family and friends.

JENNIFER PARK
RVN
RVNJennifer qualified as an RVN in 2020 before joining the team in 2021, working on a mixture of small and large animal nursing, the latter of which she hopes to pursue further in the future. In her own time she enjoys working on her farm, riding her horse and walking her cocker spaniel.

SARAH MORRISON
Senior RVN
RVNSarah joined Galedin in 2021, after qualifying as an RVN in 2017. Inp ractice, she particularly enjoys critical care nursing of hospitalised patients. In her spare time, she likes to spend her time riding her horse and going running with her black labrador.

BERNIE BAKER
Nursing Assistant
As well as being an excellent nursing assistant, Bernie is also an excellent baker, supplying the Galashiels team with the necessary cakey nourishment to get them through the day. She is extremely outdoorsy and is usually accompanied by her pug-Dachshund cross, Henry. She is also a devoted grandmother.

SVNNicola joined the team in 2020. In her spare time she likes to run, mountain bike at Glentress and is currently ticking off the Munros with her partner Chris and dog Jolie.

LESLEY ANNE GRIEVE
Head Nurse
RVNLesley-Anne qualified in 2005 from Edinburgh’s Telford College, joined Galedin in 2008 and is now head nurse, responsible for ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the practice. She has an interest in both surgical and medical nursing. Outside work, she enjoys keeping fit, running and walking her working cocker Ruby.

RVNAlison works out of our Galashiels surgery, and is unfailingly bright and bubbly. She has a young family and lives in St Boswells.

RVNJane is a student veterinary nurse studying at SRUC Oatridge. Outside work, she likes to spend her spare time studying for exams and riding horses.

ROSEMARY WEBSTER
Senior Veterinary Surgeon E-Vets
BVSc BSAVA PGCertSAECC MRCVSRosie qualified from Bristol in 1989 and joined Galedin in 2020. She is particularly interested in emergency work and holds a certificate in emergency critical care. Outside of the practice she can be found with her dogs, cats, sheep, chickens and children. She also enjoys walking in the hills, gardening, running, yoga, travel and wine, but not necessarily in that order!

DR MICHELE BLISS
Senior Veterinary Surgeon E-Vets
MRCVS, PGCertSAECCMichele qualified from Ludwig Maximillian University in Munich in 2013 and started her career working in small animal practices in Germany. She joined the team in 2019, before which she travelled the world, including working at a cheetah breeding program in Africa. When not dealing with emergencies Michele spends her time exploring Scotland with her partner and rescue pup Maximus, as well as travelling all over the world.

LINN JOHANSEN
Senior RVN E-vets
RVN, CertVNECCLinn is from Norway, and moved to the UK in 2010 after living in France for nine years. She qualified from the College of Animal Welfare in 2015 and worked in general practice before joining E-Vets in 2019. At home she has a working cocker called Frank and a ferret called Cherry, who she enjoys watching perform happy weasel war dances.

Animal Care Assistant E-Vets
Lucy joined the E-vets team in 2022, and is currently studying towards becoming a veterinary nurse in university.
In her spare time she enjoys training her dog and enhancing her knowledge of animal behaviour.

Senior Receptionist
Louise joined Galedin as a receptionist in 2018. She has a cocker spaniel called Olly and in her spare time she likes to keep active, especially by climbing our munro mountains.

CAITLIN BROWN
Receptionist
Caitilin loves to see animals reunited with their owners after a day of being an inpatient at the practice with us and enjoys when they jump up to the reception desk to say hello! Outside work she loves horse riding and currently has three horses at home. When she’s not helping on the farm she also enjoys walking her two dogs Lottie and Stella.

Senior Credit Controller
Laura joined the team in 2021 after spending over 15 years in the industry as a receptionist, and is involved with the credit control team and administration of our pet health plan. In her spare time she enjoys reading, watching tv and spending time with family and friends.

Receptionist
Linda joined the team in 2020 – so she unfortunately never got to see what normal Galedin life looked like before the pandemic! She lives on a hill farm where her husband is the manager. Her main interest out of work is competing in the agility world with her two dogs, Lola the cockapoo and Kiwi the toy poodle.

Susan joined the team in 2018. She is married with one grown-up daughter, and outside work she enjoys walking, Zumba, socialising and holidays abroad.
